Free Functional Skills Diagnostic Assessment

At Literacyskilltest, our goal is to see all of our students pass their maths and English GCSE or functional skills. For adult learners or anyone who is struggling to achieve a grade 4, we strongly advise you to consider the alternative of a functional skills exam. These exams are GCSE equivalents to a GCSE grade 4. These exams offer much more flexibility than the GCSE as they can be sat at home and have less content to learn. Due to them being equivalent they are widely accepted by Universities, employers and apprenticeships. The first step to completing a level 2 qualification is taking a functional skills diagnostic assessment. This is a short test to determine what level a student is currently at. Often colleges use this as a measure to determine whether a learner needs to sit a level 1 qualification first before moving onto level 2. Even if you’re results suggest you should sit the level 1 exam, if you are studying and sitting the exam from home,we would advise that you go straight to the level 2 exam.
We are always looking to give our learners the best resoruces that are available. For us, when it comes to functional skills diagnostic tests for maths and English, this means recommending the free tests that are available on the Pass Functional Skills website. This is the only service to offer a comprehensive free diagnostic tool that we believe is far superior to the other diagnostics out there. Employers and educators will want to see your result of this exam to see the current level you are working at and to measure your progress. It is important for both learner and provider that this test is sat.
